Two-Way Protection

Miron violet glass: light out, smell in.

The terpenes in your flower start fading the moment they meet light and air. Miron violet glass does two jobs at once: it filters out the visible light that ordinary jars let through, and its foam-cored lid closes airtight, so the aroma stays put and daylight stays out. Most storage does neither. This does both.

Protective

Blocks the light amber misses

Visible light fades terpenes and cannabinoids over time. Amber glass blocks UV but lets visible light straight through. Miron violet glass filters the full visible range, so what's inside keeps its character for longer.

Airtight

A foam-cored lid that seals

The lid carries a foam-cored seal that closes the jar airtight. No air out means no smell out, so your flower keeps its aroma in and stays fresh between sessions.

High quality

The jar the pros reach for

Miron has made biophotonic violet glass since 1995, developed in Switzerland and produced across Europe. It's the jar natural-product makers around the world reach for when they want their contents kept right.

Versatile

Good for more than flower

The same protection works for anything that fades in light and air. Use your Miron jars for herbs, spices, supplements or dried botanicals, not just your hemp tea.

Storage Guide

How to store CBD flower and hash properly.

This is one part of it. Here's the full picture: what to do, what to avoid, and why each step matters for preserving the terpenes you paid for, whether you're storing flower or hash.

Use a Miron glass jar with an airtight seal

Light and oxygen are the two primary causes of terpene and cannabinoid degradation. Miron glass addresses light, an airtight seal addresses oxygen, and you need both. A Miron jar without a proper seal is half the solution, and vice versa.

Light + Oxygen Protection

Store at room temperature, away from heat sources

Heat accelerates the evaporation of volatile terpenes, so keep jars away from radiators, direct sunlight, and warm kitchen surfaces. A consistent cool temperature is ideal. The fridge introduces moisture risk; room temperature in a cool, dark location is better for most situations.

Temperature Control

Don't store in plastic or clear glass

Plastic is not airtight over time and allows light through. Clear glass offers no light protection at all. Even short-term storage in plastic affects terpene quality, because the terpenes get absorbed into the plastic. This is why your flower smells different after a week in a zip-lock bag.

Avoid Plastic

Use the right size jar for your quantity

A small amount of flower in a large jar means excess air space, which means oxygen exposure even with the lid on. Match the jar to the quantity.

Headspace Matters

Seal immediately after every use

Every second the jar is open, terpenes are evaporating and oxygen is entering. Open, take what you need, then seal it. Don't leave it open while you prepare. The cumulative effect of repeated short exposures adds up faster than most people expect, especially with high-terpene indoor strains.

Minimise Exposure

Handle it as little as you can

Every time you touch flower or hash you transfer oils onto it and knock loose the trichomes and kief that carry the aroma. Tip out what you need rather than digging through the jar, and keep handling to a minimum so what's left stays intact.

Less Handling

Prep

Everything you need to prep your flower properly

Good flower deserves a bit of care before you use it. None of this is complicated, and none of it costs much. A few well-made bits do the job, last for years, and carry the Originals name so you know what you're getting.

Everything here is designed to work with our CBD flower and CBD hash ranges.

Everything you need to prep your flower properly

Grinder

A grinder breaks flower down to an even, consistent texture, which makes everything afterwards easier to work with. Our hemp grinder is made from rice-husk composite, a natural byproduct of food production that stands in for plastic without losing any bite. Sharp teeth handle even dense, sticky flower cleanly. Compact enough for a pocket, generous enough for a decent amount in one go.

Hemp papers

Papers matter more than people think. Ours are unbleached hemp papers in king size, with tips in the pack. Unbleached means no chlorine whitening in the mix, just the paper, made from hemp like the plant itself. A small thing that makes a noticeable difference to the quality of what you're holding.

Rolling tray

A tray keeps everything in one place so nothing ends up on the carpet. Our large rolling tray gives you room to grind, sort and prep without making a mess, with raised edges that keep your flower where you put it. Branded, sturdy, and easy to wipe down when you're done.

Herb prep kit

Want the lot in one go? The Originals CBD herb prep kit brings the grinder, two packs of hemp papers and the large rolling tray together for less than buying each on its own. A clean, considered setup from the start, and a tidy gift for anyone who takes their flower seriously.

CBD Accessories FAQs

Not much, really. A grinder to break the flower down evenly, papers, and a tray to keep it all tidy. The one most people overlook is storage: a proper jar keeps your flower in good nick between uses. Start with those four and you're sorted.

Keep it out of the light, away from air, and somewhere cool. Light and oxygen are what break down the terpenes and cannabinoids over time. A Miron violet glass jar with an airtight seal handles both, stored at room temperature away from radiators and direct sun. Match the jar size to how much you've got so there's less spare air inside.

It breaks your flower down into an even, consistent texture. That makes it easier to handle and work with than chunks broken up by hand. A grinder with sharp teeth also copes better with dense, sticky flower that's tricky to break down otherwise.

If you care about keeping your flower at its best, yes. Clear glass and plastic let light through, and light is the main thing that degrades terpenes and cannabinoids over time. Miron's violet glass blocks the visible light that causes that, which amber glass doesn't fully do. Paired with an airtight seal, it's the most protective storage we sell.

We focus on storage and prep rather than smoking hardware, so you'll find Miron jars, a grinder, hemp papers and a rolling tray here, not pipes, bongs or vaporisers. It's a deliberate choice: we'd rather do a small, useful range properly than stock everything. If you're after prep and storage done well, you're in the right place.
