Ste runs the customer-facing side of Originals CBD. He writes a lot of what you read on the site, from blog posts to product pages, helps choose what we source, tests products before they go live, and shoots the photography himself. If you email us, he's usually the one who replies.
He's been around this plant for over sixteen years. It started casually and turned into a proper obsession: the flavours, the quality differences batch to batch, the genetics behind a standout CBD flower strain, the people doing interesting work in the industry. He's tested well over two hundred products, been to a fair few expos, and spends his own time on the books, the reviews and the podcasts. On the consumer side, there isn't much he hasn't tried or formed an opinion on. He's a serious devices enthusiast too, CBD vapes especially.
What drives him is respect. He thinks the plant is widely misunderstood and the stigma around it is daft, so he follows the genetics and the science and tries to write about all of it plainly and honestly. The aim is simple: help people understand what they're actually buying, and treat the plant with the seriousness it deserves.
I've been into this plant for as long as I can remember, and not for the high. The stigma around it frustrates me. I follow the research, the genetics, the science, because I think it's badly misunderstood. What I want is for people to understand what they're getting and to respect the plant the way it deserves.
