Where dry sift relies on mechanical agitation through mesh screens, and ice water extraction uses cold water and agitation, static extraction harnesses electrostatic charge to separate trichomes from frozen hemp plant material without physical screen contact. The trichomes - attracted by the electrostatic field - separate cleanly from the plant matter in a cold environment that preserves both cannabinoids and terpenes throughout the process. The absence of screen contact means very little plant material carries through to the finished product, producing a purer, cleaner resin than mechanical dry sift. The cold process maintained throughout prevents the terpene degradation that occurs at higher temperatures, ensuring the full aromatic profile of the source hemp is preserved in the finished extract.
