Mai Tai CBD Flower

Mai Tai is a Hoku Seed Co. original - Lazybone x Sour Lemonhead OG, bred by Floyd and grown indoors. The same breeder behind Wizard of OZ, Wipeout, and Mystery OZ in the Originals range, and Mai Tai sits at the tropical end of what Floyd produces. With nearly 4% total terpenes the aroma is the first thing that makes an impression: sweet and sour, tropical fruit, heavy gas, and earthy depth all at once. Brewed as a loose-leaf herbal tea the tropical fruit and sweet gas character carries into the cup with a complexity that makes it one of the more interesting evening teas in the range - rich and aromatic rather than one-dimensional. Dense, purple-tinged indoor buds with strong trichome coverage. At 14% CBD it's mid-range on potency but the terpene intensity at nearly 4% is exceptional. An evening tea from one of the most characterful and consistent breeders in the Originals range.

Myrcene

Earthy, fruity, musky. The dominant terpene in most indica-leaning varieties. Traditionally associated with deep, grounding, hashy profiles.

Caryophyllene

Earthy, spicy, woody. Cracked black pepper and clove. Notable in research as the only terpene known to interact with CB2 receptors.

Limonene

Lemon, tart, citrus rind. Also found in citrus peel. Researched for its mood-associated properties and antioxidant activity in scientific literature.

Pinene

Piney, resinous. The scent of a forest after rain. Researched for antimicrobial activity and traditionally associated with alertness.

Effect character

RelaxedCalmHappyEuphoric
An evening indica with one of the most aromatic profiles in the range. Nearly 4% total terpenes - rare in any CBD flower - producing a sweet-and-sour tropical fruit character with heavy gas underneath. Dense, resinous, purple-tinged indoor buds.

Lazybone x Sour Lemonhead OG (Hoku Seed Co.)
Mai Tai is a Hoku Seed Co. original bred by Floyd - a cross of Lazybone and Sour Lemonhead OG, grown indoors by AgLife. Hoku Seed Co. is a small-scale, family-owned Washington state breeder who appears several times in the Originals range: Wizard of OZ, Wipeout, and Mystery OZ all share the same breeder. Floyd's work at Hoku focuses on minor cannabinoid-rich genetics, full-spectrum hemp breeding, and flavour-forward selection - and Mai Tai is a strong example of that approach. Lazybone is a Hoku-developed indica-dominant line known for its physical weight, resinous structure, and the fruity, tropical quality it contributes to crosses. Sour Lemonhead OG is the same parent that appears in Wipeout elsewhere in the range - an OG-lineage cultivar that comes from T1 crossed with Kush Hemp, bringing the citrus-diesel depth and kush structural weight that anchors the cross. The combination of Lazybone's tropical sweetness and Sour Lemonhead OG's gassy, sour depth produces a hybrid with nearly 4% total terpenes - an exceptionally high figure that's immediately apparent from the moment the bag is opened. The aroma bursts with sweet and sour notes, heavy gas, tropical fruit, wood, and earthiness. Grown indoors by AgLife under controlled conditions. This CBD-dominant phenotype complies fully with UK hemp regulations.
How & When to Use
Nighttime Herbal Tea
Mai Tai is an evening strain. The indica-dominant genetics and the myrcene-caryophyllene terpene combination produce a physically settling, relaxed effect that leans toward the comfortable and blissful rather than sharp or clear-headed. The nearly 4% total terpene content means the aroma is part of the experience in a very immediate way - customers consistently note the scent hits as soon as the seal breaks. Best prepared as a loose-leaf herbal tea. The aroma on opening is complex and immediately distinctive - tropical fruit and sweet gas lead, with sour notes and earthy wood depth underneath. Medium-sized, bright green buds with purple shading, dense structure, and strong trichome coverage from the indoor grow. At 14% CBD it sits in the mid-potency range, but the terpene intensity at nearly 4% is exceptional. Results may vary.
